Sharing the news...

After finding out I was pregnant, we made a stop at Michael's that night and began the craft project I had been wanting to make for over 8 months! Since my Dad is in the pizza business (and Josh is mildly obsessed with pizza), we were going to make a pizza out of felt with each member (on my side) as a "slice" to send to the family to share the news. We put a question mark on Baby D's slice (since there is no name yet).

The Beginning...

As my first official blog, I thought it would only be appropriate to start with the beginning of "The Deckard's Life"!

Both Josh and I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived about a mile or two away from one another. But, it wasn't until

I moved to DC after graduating from college that the "love" part of the story began. We ran into each other the first weekend after I moved to DC (in 2002) and began dating immediately. We got married in DC on May 28, 2005 - so, we are coming up on our 4th anniversary (which Josh had to remind me...I get a little confused with dates).

Our first 4 years of being together (1.5 during marriage) were when Josh was in the Press Office of the White House and travelled just about every week. Now, he owns his own business (I am SO proud of him) and I am taking care of his little bun in the oven (more on this later)!

I have the world's BEST husband and am SO blessed. What a gift from God!
