Tullis Family Photos

Since the entire Tullis family was in town for the big birthday celebration, I had my very talented friend Tali come and do a photo shoot for us. Here are a few of the pictures...

3D Ultrasound of Baby D!

While our parents were in town, we decided to do a 3D ultrasound to see Baby D! It was so incredible to see the little face and hands. We went to Stork Vision in Gaithersburg and it was the cutest place. They actually opened on Sunday afternoon for us so we were able to go straight from church (after lunch at Houstons of course and a stop at Starbucks to get a shot of espresso in hopes of waking Baby). They had a couch that the grandparents could sit on and showed the video of the ultrasound on a big plasma TV. Baby D gave us a great show! I am so glad we were able to do this. I know once Baby D comes there will be thousands of pictures to look at, but for now these are all I have to see our cute little babe.

Not the most flattering picture of me (not many are these days), but I had to include this picture!

We think Baby D is smiling in this one!

Belly Shot (24 weeks - 6 months)!

My amazingly talented friend Tali came out when the whole family was in town to do a photo shoot for us (http://talilarosephotography.blogspot.com/). We have never had a professional photo shoot with the whole family! It was so much fun (although it was REALLY hot and humid). Sophie, Brooke and Hailey were troopers. She is still editing them, but here is one she sent me today. More to come!

Our FIRST Pet

Welcome to the newest member of our family...Charlie the Fish (aka Chuck)! We went to the Arlington County Fair (a birth month activity we do in August). The first (and only) game we played was one where you can win a fish. We really got into it and played a few rounds and ended up winning 3 fish. Since this was our first pet, we thought 3 might be too many...so we gave two away and kept one. It took a few minutes of walking around and analyzing different families before I could give the other 2 away (I wanted to make sure they would go to good homes). I was really anxious to get Charlie the Fish some food and put him in a bowl, so we left the fair (after 20 minutes). Actually, I was probably more anxious Josh was going to give him to a kid knowing I couldn't ask for it back...so, we left right away!

Our winnings!

Happy Charlie in his new home!

Birthday Fun

For my actual birthday Josh and his parents surprised me and got us a hotel for 2 nights in DC. It was so perfect! We got to "get away" without actually traveling. I didn't have to cook, clean or worry about a thing. It was funny because I could actually see Rosslyn (where we live) from our hotel window. On Monday (my birthday), we went paddle boating at the Jefferson Memorial (one of my favorite DC activities), then shopping in Georgetown (another one of my favorite DC activities), and had a really nice dinner at BLT. It was the most perfect day! Josh was such a sport! Thanks sweetie for such a great birthday!

Grandma's Go Shopping!

I wanted both my mom and Leslee to get a feel of what shopping for Baby D was really like (overwhelming)! Needless to say, we had to take a "gliding" break to snack on some twizzlers and rest.

Opening Ceremony Luncheon
Mom had a lunch with some of her friends in honor of opening ceremonies for Mrs. Pratt's and my birth month! It was really just a good excuse to eat lots of cake and cupcakes with her really sweet friends! Thanks Mom!

Wedding Weekend in Kentucky

We had a great time with the Bargers (and all of Josh's UK friends) in Lexington for Craig's wedding!
