In front of Sydney Opera House
We got back late Wednesday night from our two week trip to Australia, Los Angeles and Scottsdale. It was so much fun...but exhausting! I wouldn't recommend traveling all the way around the world in your first trimester of pregnancy, but I am glad we did it! Australia is a beautiful place.
Thankfully I started feeling better about the time we left for the trip. There were a few moments/days where I wasn't feeling so great and moving slower than normal (and normal isn't all that fast to begin with), but God gave me grace. I am very grateful for my compassionate, understanding and LOVING husband who took such good care of me and baby on the trip. Poor thing had to carry two large (and slightly overweight) suitcases in addition to two carry-ons (one that was filled with food for me and the 8 baby kangaroos I got as souvenirs). I am also very grateful to be home! It feels good to be able to unpack and put the suitcases away for a little bit. They had become an addition to our bedroom decor, so it is nice to have that space back.
We were in Sydney for 3 nights, Canberra for 1 night and Brisbane for 4 nights. Josh gave a few speeches and and did two radio interviews while we were in Australia. We were out one day from 8 am-midnight. Busy trip, but such is life with Josh!
Below is a "highlight" video of the trip and some pictures. Because Josh's speech is around 30 minutes, I am not including that. He did a FANTASTIC job though and I am SO proud of him.
